The Special Needs Unit of the YMCA Childcare Resource Service receives funding from San Diego Regional Center for the Developmentally Disabled to provide respite services to families with children who are Regional Center Consumers. Respite service and resources are provided throughout San Diego County The Special Needs Unit hires respite staff to provide care for children in the family home and contracts with licensed child care facilities to include respite children in their child care program
