YMCA CRS Provider Information
"A Stipend Program for Early Childhood Educators"
The purpose of San Diego CARES is to increase the quality of child care and worker retention
by providing $1,500 stipends to child care providers who:
- Continue their education
- Follow the Child Development Matrix
- Remain working in a child care program for an additional length of time following
application to San Diego CARES.
This is a great opportunity for individuals who work with young children
in child care settings to increase their incomes and improve their skills and education
as child care providers. Funded by grants from the County of San Diego Children &
Families Commission, the California Children and Families Commission and the State Department
of Education Child Development Division, the YMCA Childcare Resource Service has been
selected to administer the stipend program. Select the following categories to learn more
